Overview
We organize Hiking Ouirgane Valley a moderate trip of 2 days hiking to the Atlas Mountains, hiking through altitudes of 2000 m to 3000 m.
Set off with your guide and drive to Ouirgane, where you will meet your multer, then start hiking through the National Park of Toubkal. After a couple of hours of hiking, we get to the village of Anraz for tea and lunch.
After lunch, we go on our trek to catch the village of Tikhfist with its amazing panoramic view of the Ouirgane valley. Then head up to the Tamjarjt oak forest trees where our multer has prepared a set for a meant tea break. After tea, we set off for the last 2 hours of today towards the village of Assif Zegzawn for the Overnight with a local Berber family or in a tent on the river near the local gardens of the village.
On the Second day, after breakfast, we set off towards the east through the fields of corn or barley and followed the small river decorated naturally by a huge walnut tree to arrive after 2 hours to the plateau of the mount of Takharkhourt 2800m. Head up to the Azzaden River where we will stop for a picnic lunch in the heart of the Apple Gardens.
After lunch and wild mint tea, we head down through the river to cross Azerfsane village to Tassa Ouirgane, the meaning of this village in Berber’s local language is the “ liver” of the valley. After one hour we get to arrive at Marigha where our hike will terminate.
